The Mission

FinancialReports is becoming the data layer for the global economy. We unify 40+ fragmented markets, 20M+ filings, and 48,000+ companies into a single, AI-ready feed. Hedge funds, asset managers, data vendors, and AI labs use our API to build the models that move capital.

We are small, profitable, and moving fast. We do not need a seat-filler. We need a closer.

The Role

You will own the full sales cycle; from first touch to contract signature to expansion. You will inherit a handful of warm accounts and an active pipeline. The rest of your territory is greenfield: quant funds, asset managers, data vendors, sell-side, AI labs. You decide where to hunt.

You will sell to technical buyers; heads of research, CTOs, data engineering leads, portfolio managers. Your job is to understand their workflow, shape the commercial, and close. No BDR will hand you MQLs. You will build your own pipeline alongside the one we give you.

You will work directly with the founders. No sales management layer. No deal desk. No forecast theater.

What You Will Do

  • Run the full cycle on 6-figure ACV deals
  • Build pipeline through direct outbound, warm intros, events, and whatever else works
  • Negotiate commercials with procurement, legal, and compliance at sophisticated buyers
  • Bring product signal back from the market — you are our eyes and ears on what to build next
  • Expand existing logos into adjacent use cases and teams

What We Look For

  • You have closed enterprise SaaS or data deals — six figures and up, multi-stakeholder, 3+ month cycles
  • You can hold a technical conversation. You do not need to write Python, but you need to understand what an API is and why latency matters
  • You have sold to sophisticated buyers — the kind who read the contract, stress-test your data, and push back on pricing
  • You are a builder, not a manager. You will write your own sequences, run your own demos, and close your own deals
  • You are allergic to process theater. You want to sell, not sit in forecast meetings
  • You write well. Most of your selling will be async and in writing

What We Do Not Care About

  • What domain you sold in before. Financial data is learnable. Closing is not.
  • Where you live. Work from anywhere. Close from anywhere.
  • Your title at your last company. Show us the logos you closed and the ACVs you carried.

Compensation

Base + uncapped commission + meaningful equity. We negotiate case by case. If you are good, you will do very well here.

Process

  1. Short written application — tell us the biggest deal you ever closed and how
  2. 30 min Interview 
  3. Work sample — you build and run a real outbound sequence on a real target account
  4. Final Interview
  5. Offer

We move in days, not weeks. If you are the right person, you will have an offer inside two weeks of applying.
